Located at 193 S Main St in the heart of Hiawassee, GA, this inn blends convenience with simplicity, providing easy access to local outfitter stores, grocery shops, and the vibrant Hiawassee Town Square—a hub of community gatherings and live music that adds memorable charm to any stay.

The inn’s rooms have recently undergone renovations, enhancing comfort while maintaining a rustic, unpretentious atmosphere. Travelers like Stonelegs praise the cleanliness and comfort of the accommodations, noting the pet-friendly policy and hiker rates as significant pluses. Although the building shows signs of age, guests appreciate the practical amenities provided: free Wi-Fi, free parking, microwaves, refrigerators, and reliable heating—essentials that meet basic needs with efficiency.

While some visitors, such as Ann Preidis, have encountered minor issues — like a stubborn toilet — the management’s attentive response and the overall value keep the experience positive. Herman Wells highlights the friendly staff, especially David, whose local knowledge and assistance with transport proved invaluable during a trek on the Appalachian Trail.

This inn is not designed to impress with luxury but rather to provide a dependable resting point for weary hikers and budget-minded guests. The absence of a pool, restaurant, or fitness center underscores its minimalist approach; the focus remains on comfort, cleanliness, and utility. Great option for a hiker needing some r&r for a night. Some stars off because my toilet wouldn't flush. Manager came to plunge and snake the toilet but only temporarily stopped the problem. I just tried not to use it. Great walking distance of outfitter and grocery store. The Hiawasee Town Square had a live band and a gathering of people watching and dancing in the street, which was fun. Beautiful area too. Would stay again.

Stayed here for a few days while hiking the AT. David was really nice and if not for him would not have found a ride from the AT as no one who typically gives rides was answering their phones. Yep, the place looks old and is dated, but for us, it was perfect. Everything works, the rooms are very clean, and the price was right. Took the cash discount for me and my wife and got 2 nights for $100. The hotel is close to, or a short walk from everything needed to eat and resupply. Also, you can get a good breakfast next door before you hop back on the trail at the Main Street Grill.

Rooms have been newly renovated. I have been staying here off and on for years. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The property has had an entire face lift. I would recommend. Hiker rates available. Pet friendly. Perfectly positioned in Hiawassee . Able to walk where ever I needed to go. Easy shuttle stop from Unicoi Gap and Dicks Creek Gap.

Great place for the low price it was. A hikers respite at its best. Bathroom, bed, microwave and heat are really all you need anyway. A place to crash. Would come again. They have internet and TV too, although my room wasn't hooked up with cable, which was fine with me. Stayed two nights to get out of freezing temps on the AT.

This place is at the end of town. Not much to see. The rooms were clean. The room had 2 full beds, night stand, dresser, TV, microwave, small fridge, light on the night stand, and overhead lighting. The bathroom had a shower with good flow and hot water. It's not much to look at as it's older but if your looking for a clean place with basic accommodations on a budget this could definitely work.. The office closes but the bell at the office door will bring the office person to the front office for you. Check in was easy and fast. If in the area again I will definitely check this place again
